Join Jamie on Wednesday, July 16 at 6:00 PM EDT as she shows you five unique ways to balance your chakras, and how to discover the way in which you feel/sense energy the easiest. When your chakras are balanced this means each chakra is communicating effectively to the next by moving energy from one chakra center to another. If any of your chakras are blocked you can experience physical, mental and emotional confusion. Lets keep that energy moving and find fun ways to clear and balance those centers!

HEART:
The heart is the organ that pumps blood, with its life-giving oxygen and nutrients, to all tissues of the body. If the pumping action of the heart becomes inefficient, vital organs like the brain and kidneys suffer. And if the heart stops working altogether death occurs within minutes. Life itself is completely dependent on the efficient operation of the heart.
There are many kinds of heart disease, and they can affect the heart in several ways. But the ultimate problem with all varieties of heart disease is that, in one way or another, they can disrupt the vital pumping action of the heart.
What body parts are affected?
What do these parts mean to you?
How do these parts affect you and your environment?
Meditation/Affirmation
Mental relaxation techniques can help slow down a rapid heart ratecaused by stress. You canuse a combination of self-talk and visualization to calm your bodys stress responses and the accompanying rapidheartbeat. Repeat toyourself six times, My heart beats calmly and regularly. Then say twice, I am very calm. Try to visualize your heart beating slowly and evenly and all tension flowing out of your body. Picture yourself quiet and content.
Meditation
Find any spot where you feel comfortable. You can be sitting or laying down. It is best to have a place where there will be no interference. Close your eyes. Begin to focus on your breath. Feel the air coming in your nose and out your mouth. Find this rhythm to match the ebb and flow of an ocean. As you breathe in imagine the waves coming in, and as you breathe out imagine the waves going out. Hear the waves and begin to see a beach layout before you. Enjoy the perfect time of day with just enough sunlight and breeze to stay cool. Now see the waves beginning to push up on the shore the color you are most attracted to at this time. Watch how the waves push the color closer to you until you are bathed in it. With each rhythm of the ebb and flow you are covered with this color. Allow this color to caress your skin and move into your body, your muscles, your organs, your bones and all that is. Let this color stay with you as long as you wish.
When you are ready you may open your eyes. Stay in the position you are in, listen to your body and what it is saying to you at this time.
YOGA/ STRETCH EXERCISE
Rocking Spine
Sit comfortably on the floor with legs folded. With your right hand hold your right ankle, and with your left hand hold your left ankle. Each time your inhale (through your nose) you pull spine forward, allowing the hips to roll forward, pull your shoulders back and point your chin up. When you exhale through your nose push back, round the spine, rock the hips back, curve the shoulders forward and drop your chin to your chest. Repeating this forward and back motion creates a rocking on your sits bones. Make your breath strong and loud through your nose. Remember to let tension go in your legs and arms and focus on opening up the chest.
BREATHING EXERCISE
Sit in a chair with your feet flat on the ground. Place your hands palm up under your bottom, cupping each sit bone. Take a deep, very deep breath in through your nose and put your chin to your chest, curve your spine forward, pull your shoulders forward. Hold this breath as long as you can without causing dizziness. When you are ready to release the breath, sit up straight, throw your head and shoulders back and open your mouth wide. With a loud release of air, let all the breathe leave your body. Rest and repeat two more times.
POLARITY HOLDS
Center Charging
Have your friend roll over onto his or her back. Rub your hands together vigorously, and when you feel a strong charge in your hands, place your right hand over the heart an inch or two above the body and your left hand slightly above the forehead. Hold this position as long as the life-force exchange feels strong. Let your friend rest as long as she or he wants to.
Back Brush Sweep
Help your friend sit up when you feel he or she is ready. Gently stroke the back with your fingers in the following pattern: Start with your right hand on the right shoulder, and your left hand on the left shoulder. Brush across the back so the hands cross at the bottom of the neck and continue to the shoulders. Now bring your right hand down the left side of the body while your left is going down the right side. Your hands cross over again below the waist. Do this about ten times. Start with a firm stoke and get lighter and lighter each time, until you are barely touching. Continue doing the move without touching. Throw off static energy each time you brush off.
CRYSTAL PLACEMENT
You will need one palm-sized rose quartz and eight small tumbled rubies (or another type of red crystal). Lay on your back. Place the large rose quartz over your heart chakra (over your sternum). Then surround the rose quartz with the eight rubies. This flower-like lay out helps balance the hearts energy and restore its strength, confidence and grounding elements.
AROMATHERAPY
Lavender, orange and sandalwood are known to ease tension and reduce anxiety. Apply lavender and sandalwood directly from the bottle, but blend orange with a carrier oil such as olive oil. When stressed, rub a few drops on your chest and forehead for a calming effect on the nervous system.
RECIPES
Motherwort and Linden Flowers
Together they can reduce anxiety and calm nerves. Make a tea using 1/2 teaspoon each of motherwort and linden flowers to 1 cup of water. Drink 3 cups daily until symptoms are eased.
Ginseng
Take 20-30 drops of ginseng tonic daily. It may prevent heart disease and can also help raise low blood pressure.
Magnesium supplements have been shown to improve heart rhythm, mitral-valve prolapse and heart-muscle weakness. Take 500 mg. of magnesium daily.
Coenzyme Q10 is known to improve heart-muscle functioning and the conduction of electrical impulses. Take 200-300 mg. daily.
Garlic, Onion and Ginger
Garlic, onion and ginger have been found to thin blood, limit blood clots that can block arteries and lower high blood pressure. Include a good amount of these foods in your diet.
